Very interesting historical christian movie. Giving hope to faith &racisum.
Thank you. I picked up this video because I was studying the Westley brothers and George Whitfield. The Moravians were so important to John Westly,s search for true faith and confidence in the Lord. This made me want to know more about their history. I was very interested in the fact that they started fifty years before martin Luther. Their leaders martyrs for their beliefs. Thier strong belief in the the Bible, the Holy Spirit, and faith in God. The seriousness and peacefulness in all situations.
The movie though made in the past with what seems like a small budget is very good and interesting. Such a wonderful story of determination and love for our fellow man. A great story every Christian should watch. The faith in God. Patience in his timing and will. A incredible story set in a wonderful time.
When I read about the Moravian this story did not show up. They were described as great missionaries but this truly let's you experience one great mission to reach people that looked at them as the enemy. What a great story of a great man. And love of people to care for each other. The story of the spirit being more important than the body. What one good man can do with God in a time of racism and slavery. Over coming illness and pain. Concurring hate and unbelief. Showing the importance off prayer single and group. The importance of working in unity.
The acting, directing and filming could be better but the story still shine threw. The movie is well worth seeing. The characters well worth knowing. You can see why John Westley was drawn to these people and this man. How he was able to see their faith. How Zinzendof, and other Moravians became teachers to both John and his brother Charles. I love how so many Great Christians are connected to each other. How the works of one lead to the great works of another. Different religion can watch and enjoy this movie.
