Good connectivity but not great sound quality
I'd planned to pick up a silver one of these from my local Argos to replace our faulty JVC mini hifi in the kitchen. However, when the price shot up £30 overnight I went with the white one on here. At £35 less I'm glad I did, particularly as the majority of the product is the same grey and black. The connectivity options are great, but unlike other bluetooth speakers we have it won't connect to basic non-smart mobile phones (the aux input gets around the problem). It connects to iPads and iPhones fine and the mp3-CD compatibility is good as we have a few of those. The biggest disappointment for me is the sound quality. I guess it's on a par with a basic portable CD/radio, but it is poor in comparison to my cheap Anker bluetooth speaker which has far better clarity and bass response in a much smaller package.

Great if you can pick up a cheap one
This does a great job considering it was just £18. However, I think if I was paying the full price I would go for the Firestick which offers Amazon prime compatibility and the ability to install Kodi streaming services.

Small but perfectly capable
Bought this to replace my 17 year old Toshiba DVD player which refused to die but lacked HDMI connectivity. Particularly wanted to retain a coaxial digital audio-out, which was primarily what attracted me to this unit. It is tiny by comparison to the old Toshiba, but the picture is better and it plays Blurays. NB. We're not using the smart features as we already have a smart TV.
