INSCRIBE SOFT PASTEL SET - 64 COLOURS

Superb soft pastels, great results

I was introduced to these soft pastels on an art course (materials supplied) and was amazed at the great results ( a couple of portraits so far), as I'm just a novice. I haven't used any of the really expensive brands but I would be surprised if they deliver much better than these. I would recommend buying the box of 64 because of the range of different shades. For under a tenner it's got to be worth it. Both the attached portraits were created exclusively with Inscribe soft pastels.

Not quite Ordnance Survey

Ideally I wanted an Ordnance Survey Explorer map, 1:25.000 scale (2.5 inches to the mile, 4 cm to 1 km). The scale of this Connemara map isn't so good at 1:30,000, and it has a different look to it which will take a bit of getting used to (but might be better). I couldn't find a more detailed map of this area, so I guess it's the best that's available. I would have liked the area covered to include the coast and Cleggan where we'll be staying.

Essential reading, well presented

I couldn't do without this guide to learn what my new camera can do. The explanations and diagrams are clear.
