The Karajan Ring Cycle: A Magnificent Blu Ray Audio Event
A magnificent recording of some of the most spectacular operatic music ever composed. Having it on Blu Ray audio, with lossless sound, makes this a treasure. (And the fact that more than eleven hours of music fit on a single disc makes listening as convenient as it is delightful.) The Blu Ray version comes with a thick collection of illustrated liner notes in both English and German. I paid a premium for this out of print and hard to find edition, but it was well worth it. Karajan, Wagner and the Berlin Philharmonic. If you have the opportunity to buy a copy, pounce.
