Superb value USB keyboard
I wanted a keyboard that would allow me to type fast, and relatively silently; as I preferred a USB connection, there was only really one choice - this HP. It also has an elegant, black streamlined form; all-in-all a very good keyboard - and, at less than a tenner, excellent value

Excellent pair of slip-ons (NB their soles are rather thin)
This is an excellent pair of leather slip-ons - the pimples on the soles clearly indicate that they're meant primarily for driving; but I've been using them just for strolling around.
The leather is supple, making them a comfortable fit. Just one caveat: the soles are rather thin, necessitating the insertion of a pair of insoles.

Vintage Airfix dinosaur model - still great fun to assemble and paint
This classic Airfix dinosaur model - one of 8 that the company produced back in the 1970s (the others being Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Brontosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Corythosaurus, Dimetrodon and Pteranodon) is still great fun to assemble and paint - I say 'still', because the old-fashioned view of bipedal dinosaurs, in a tail-dragging, 'sit-up-and-beg' pose, is now known to be incorrect (i.e. we now know that bipedal dinosaurs walked with their tails held straight out behind them, to balance the weight of the body and head, which were parallel to the ground. Tamiya has produced an excellent, modern T-rex in this pose).
My one criticism of this model kit is that it's rather difficult to get to stand upright; i.e. it tends to topple over to one side, unless you weight the right leg. All in all, a great bit of nostalgic fun.
