Lancets work perfectly
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I'm amazed at how far this technology has come in my lifetime. When I was a kid, a lancet was a little metal stabber which had to be manually held and plunged into a fingertip (circa 1964). These things are like something out of Star Trek by comparison... just perfect for the task, and essentially foolproof. One tip: Don't hold the white plastic barrel when using the lancet. Just push the blue button with a fingertip, and the lancet will apply exactly the right amount of pressure to penetrate enough, but not too much, to let you squeeze out a droplet of blood for your test.

Essential for network research and "connection sniffing"
I work on software which uses Ethernet communications. A true hub (NOT a switch) is absolutely indispensable for using Wireshark to capture Ethernet communications. A switch will filter out all kinds of important packets from a PC being used to monitor comms, notably packets like ARP resolution, et cetera. So this piece or one like it is an absolute must for any serious communications programmer's toolkit.
