First time Mimi loves it!!!!
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!! I am a 52 y.o. first time grandma and I care for sweet grandson 1 day a week for 13 hours while mama works at hospital as a RN.
I take this to their house and use it all his waking hours throughout the day. I feel straighter walking, like everything is in its place, and feel less back and shoulder strain.
I am on the large end of the range and used it for couple weeks without the extension, but it's so much more comfortable with it. I wear it pretty large around waist because hips keep is up and I have more room around waist to bend. I was put off by extension at first. It does add a little weight and bulk. I really didn't like that it had yet a other adjustable strap. I wish that new strap was not adjustable somehow and it didn't have all that length. But, I find the stretch loop holds that rolled up pretty well. I just keep one locked and rolled up and use the other Evey time. It's worth it to give me all that room for motion around my waist.
I actually sit in chairs and drive my car with it on. You just have to move the baby's seat all the way around to touch the car's seat to not impair your arms. I just wear it all the time to make sure I'm using it every time I hold him. I take breaks from it when he's napping. He is 9 months and weighs about 18 lbs.
I feel so much more secure carrying him on stairs. Also, the " I want down, limp noodle" will be no problem when he gets there. You know how kids are easier to hold once they sort of hold themselves up? Well, that is every time with Tushbaby. I had to teach myself to just lightly rest arm behind him rather than grasping him. So much more relaxed.
Last night I just learned to move it to the front and face him out when we are listening to and swaying to music. I would never have used an all over carrier although I've bought many for my daughter. I just can't commit to either having him on or off for any length of time. This is an around the house, day in -day out carrier for me. Whenever we go on a daytrip, I will have it there too.
