A typically exciting and interesting Garve story
This is a reissue of a 50s thriller.
The action takes place when a soldier is demobbed after the second world war and goes back to his old job in the family business which he no longer finds exciting or lucrative enough. So he decides to kill his boss who is also a family relative so that he can gain his inheritance.
There is a trademark Garvean ingenious method by which the murder is achieved which I shan't reveal (I've never come across it before) and the murderer looks as if he's going to get away with it until a female witness comes along.
As with all Garves there is an interesting and exciting storyline, with some unusual twists. Well recommended !
