Outstanding songs&dancing/old style Hollywood perfection/makes you smil
This film tells the story of a girl (Audrey Hepburn)who is a bookstore clerk and is transformed into model when Fred Astaire (photographer)and his team arrive at the store for a fashion shoot. The plot lines in old style musicals are never very strong - they are not meant to be, but its the sheer talent, music, (in this case songs by George & Ira Gershwin)& costumes that showcase exactly why Hollywood Musicals were extremely good. You have to remember there were no special effects, so each routine had to be danced again and again to get it just right. You will never see talent like this again. Its a perfect film for a rainy afternoon, and one which makes you feel good - need I say anymore!!
