Deluxe installation instructions incomplete - may need additional parts
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich Initial unpacking of the kit revealed the typical top quality you expect from v&h. Install instructions are vague but good enough to get you through it; pretty straight forward. Well, unless you have a softail Deluxe. Specially a deluxe with passenger floorboards, which I expect is a VERY common add on. So what’s the deal? Well, the right muffler bracket will not fit if you have floorboards on the Deluxe (and fatboy). The Harley floorboards kit uses a bracket that mounts to the same holes as the v&h muffler bracket needs to. This means that for this kit to fit, you must replace the right floorboard bracket and mount with ones for a Heritage softail. This is no big deal, about $85 for both from your HD dealer. The part numbers are 52713-95A and 50481-00. Ok, where I get upset is that none of this is mentioned in the instructions. Considering that most Deluxes (or at least many) will require this, I see it as a huge oversight. I had to dig through forums to verify my initial suspicion that additional parts were needed. The good news is that the pipes fit nice and sound great. I also bought the slash cut tips. They are way overpriced but look better than the straight cut tips, in my opinion.

Upgrade over stock part
This part has the metal gusset ring which should eliminate the weak failure area. Fits fine, works fine Better than stock
