not sealed to the weather.
the plastic housing is 2 piece plastic. both halves sandwich a chip and pin board that is not glued together. mine fell apart in my hands and as a result damaged several pins. installation was easy. I was shocked that this unit wont seal against the harness and so they give you a piece of tar paper tape to cover this critical connection. this should be a water proof connection. no noticeable horse power improvements but the device truely tied all my mods together and made them feel seamless!!!. large noticeable driveability upgrade!!! because of the water damage possibility to my wiring harness i purchased a mopar performance ecm for another $100.. the jet feels the same as the M/P ecm except the jet does not provide the added 700 rpm to your rev limiter. you are not likely to feel much on a stock vehicle. I am an ASE certified master tech.
