Nice "snapshot" of music from this era - all original recordings, original artists, and very well remastered!

Snapshot of a Musical Time, Departed
Everyone has heard the old saw, "they don't make them like that anymore." It's true - and, they don't write or sing them "like that" anymore, either. This felicitous coupling of Campbell and Gentry comes from a time when writing, singing, and audio production values centered on "aiming high," and this album certainly succeeded. It is no wonder that it was a phenomenal seller when released in 1968. As the great Ray Charles once said when asked why he liked C&W music so much, he replied, "It's the stories they tell." I'd like to add to that with "and how they tell them." The Campbell and Anne Murray album included is all right, but not of the same caliber of the Campbell/Gentry effort. I highly recommend this CD!

"Goldilocks" book, with bonus information!
Keppler has written for Nikon/Nikkormat cameras the same great quality book he wrote for the (Honeywell) Asahi Pentax. The book is replete with great tips and background information beyond just a recitation of details for the cameras. An excellent book for excellent photo equipment!
