These are great guitar amp power tubes
These are great guitar amp power tubes, Sovtek 5881-WXTs are virtually indestructible, and are built to a military spec. I use them in amps in which regular 6L6s can exceed maximum screen dissipation, as the Sovtek 5881-WXT fwill stay well under the limits.They are basically a Russian military beam power tube that is very similar to the US 6L6GC. They seem to last forever, and they sound good to me whenever I use them, although maybe producing 10% less output, which is not noticeable.
