The Mechanic
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich It has been a long time since I've seen this film and the chance to get it for a really good price on Ebay was too hard to resist. The first thing to say about the film is that once you have watched it you must not tell anyone about the ending,and if you've seen it you'll know why,and if you have not watched it yet well, are'nt you now curious? It does seem dated, and being in mono with a not always clear soundtrack does'nt help. But it IS a good and somehow deep and dark film. Bishop, the character played by Bronson, is a very dark and lonesome figure, and enjoys his work as a hit-man. His hits are overly complicated, like his persona, and seem right for anyone who can spend ages looking at H. Bosches' Garden of Earthly Delights! After J M Vincent joins him he seems to somehow change slightly, which is a shame in a way,and you somehow KNOW Bishop will regret taking him on as an associate.Picture quality is reasonable for it's age, most films of this vintage are like this a bit grainy and not bursting with colour. It's not too long, about 94 mins or there abouts, and it does move at a nice pace mostly, and yes his wife at the time IS in it, she plays a hooker who plays games with him. To sum up, I think it's a dated but quite enjoyable film with a dodgy soundtrack quality and if anything is slightly spoiled by the appearence of J M Vincent in it.But when you can buy it for the price of a rental film it's worth checking out.I believe that this is the first film of Bronsons to be directed by M Winner, so who knows without this film we might not have got Death Wish and Death Wish2 which were great films and not like the rest of the Death Wish films which were crap and just really milked that franchise. Now don't forget DO NOT tell anyone who has'nt seen it the very end!!

Imagination
This is a great fun cd, especially with that ridiculous bass. If you are fond of the 80's you do need this cd. It's so of that era.

Scented bin liners
These are a great idea, all different fragrances. The only problem I have with them is they are incredibly thin and so easy to rip or tear. We tend to use them doubled up because of this.
