not what I hoped for
it is very difficult to open it up, i don't have long fingernails so can't get under the probe to lift it and it locks down securely, it is quite slow to register the temp, the probe is too large in diameter making it difficult to penetrate the meat, it does seem to be built sturdy, should last a long time ...................

this is the 2nd one i own, a safe and effective self-defense tool, highly recommend it ................

good concept, should be larger diameter to accommodate the accessories, difficult to replace all the parts into the body, the cap should screw on instead of snapping on, it will be lost before too long as it pops off with very little effort
