The Only Marine Regiment to Surrender to the Enemy
Another good solid unit history about the 4th Marines, Who were the only Marine Regiment to be a garrison force stationed in China. They then were sent to defend the US Colony / Commonwealth of the Philippines during the opening stages of WWII. Where they were ordered to Surrender to the Japs and endure the Bataan Death March.
Later on the Regiment was reformed with the survivors of the Marine Raider and Para Marine units. This new Regiment which would then fight on until the Fall of the Japanese Empire.

A Good Effort!
This is a good solid book that covers one of Americas Premier Fight units. The "Raggedly 1st Marine Division". The only problem that I have with the book is a minor one. In that they used rather unbelievable re an actors models for discussing the Uniforms of this outfit.

Save your cash!
This book is a paid for Publication book. While some of the Text is pretty good., it lacks good maps and a nonexistent index. Also a list of units involved in this campaign would of been nice too!
