Because Everyone Should Understand How it Happened
After reading Haffner's book, I finally am able to answer the question so many of us ask, "How did the Germans let that happen?" I thought I knew German history, but apparently there's a lot I didn't know. This is an honest portrait of the life of a German man who lived in 1920-1930's Germany. It depicts how historical events unfolded in Germany among the average German. It is a warning to all people that we have to be careful not to not ever follow the same path, no matter which players are in charge. It's about the balance between making the correct moral choices as an individual while striving to find peace with your fellow countrymen.
