I like the slotted opening. Door was very tight.
The only thing I would like better is if it had a little more ventilation and was easier to open. I did have to sand down both sides of the "door" quite a bit to make it open, as it was so tight that I had to use a wrench to knock it open from the bottom. But overall, I like it. It's my second one of this style and the bluebirds seem to like the slot opening.
