I saved money by not going to Lowe's but after I bought the fittings not so much.
Old filter had 1/8 pipe connector this one had 1/4 pipe. i had to go buy a couple of brass fittings and let me tell you those have gone up in the last year.
I also had a lot of trouble with it leaking and had to use sealer and tighten it three times. It was a pain.

3 wires
Unit had three wires and no instructions I used the black and red wire and ignored the yellow one. and it worked
I am not sure why it had the yellow wire?
