Violence alluded to rather than splashed
Haven't yet watched all, but really enjoying the episodes, especially the differences between calm, rather slow regular characters and over the top guest actors. Love the way violence is left to our own morbid imaginations rather than replacing a storyline with blood and expletives. It's horror with fun!

Fun detection
Fun, intelligent, self-effacing. Guest actors are so over the top, while the inspectors really seem ploddish- keep their moves hidden.
