Vietnam - A Television History, a great series which belongs on the shelf of all students of history
This historical series is the best of all the Vietnam war video summaries. The producers begin before VN was a divided country and lead the viewer through a brief overview of Viet history. This helps to set the stage for the information that follows.
Also included is a very brief treatment of what happened in Laos and Cambodia during the years of US involvement in Vietnam.
Anyone who was alive during the turbulent 1960s and early 1970s will remember many of the names and personalities who were instrumental at the time of the US actions in those countries. Several of those personalities were interviewed for their own short verbal summaries of what happened and why.
This is an excellent historical account given in top level summary format.
