Barbra does it best
Beautifully photographed, Good songs by La Striesand! Well acted by all performers although you might want to mute when Yves Montand sings..maybe an acquired taste. They didn't give Jack Nicholson much to do, part was cut back. Mabel Albertson, Simon Oakland and Bob Newhart though minor characters, do a good job. Wish there was a commentary track to the film.

2 von 2 finden das hilfreich While many will say this is very dated, it does reflect what it was like for gay people at the time, pre HIV days. as well as how much acceptance has changed over the years. Casting is great due that it is the same actors from the play.
The commentary to this adds another perspective not only to the story but also to how society has evolved. Well worth the price, and for many viewings.

Funny and PG Margaret Cho is worth it!
Really good to see this show on DVD. Although Margaret Cho's comedy is cleaned up compared to her live performances it's still enjoyable. The commentary tracks made the set well worth it, just wish there was more commentary. This show would have done better if ABC kept the corporate hands off it. Cho and Amy Tan (Grandma) is what really makes this show!
