Grandma's bad judgement
Grandson didn't like it, it just didn't suit him, but my thought is that it was a very nice product! I would probably still send it to another youngster!

Finally, great American made bakeware!
Doughmakers pans are definitely the best that I have used in my fifty + years of baking. The finish echos the "bumpy" finish of that long-ago (30's?) surface, often in starburst patterns, of early tin bread pans.
The idea was good then and is still good now: let just a bit of warm air under the product and the extremely hot sheet will not over-brown it. In addition cookies come off effortlessly. I don't grease these, it is asking for browning of the sheet that really ruins the nice look of the shiny pan and alters the baking time and non-stick effect of the Doughmakers finish. I have used them all over the years, including stainless steel (good enough but pricey and apt to warp with very little cause!), double ply insulated that I used to think were the bomb but find often don't cook the bottoms enough, plain aluminum whose 50's American made cachet still appeals to me, aluminized steel, darker colored Teflon and on and on. Doughmakers win hands down. I still line the Doughmakers round cake pans with parchment, just because the cakes come out more easily, but I probably don't need to. I do give these great pans a little TLC in that I don't put them in the dishwasher and don't scrub them with anything caustic or scratchy, but when cared for they don't need it. They have become my go-to gift to new brides (along with a favored cookbook.) Plus they are made in America quality. Until I take my baking to the big kitchen in the sky I will keep adding to my collection of Doughmakers !Try them; you'll love them!
