A great teleconverter for Sony/Minolta A-Mount Cameras.
This teleconverter works quite well. It seems to retain the image quality of the master lens quite well regardless of the 1 stop light loss. I might not use it much, but if I ever feel I need a little extra reach this little guy will help convert my Sony 70-200 f2.8 lens to a 98-280 f4 lens. Great quality.

Technics SL-P770 - What A CD Player Should Be!!
I was in the market to replace my old CD Player. However, I'm not impressed with today's CD Players other than the fact that many if not all of them can now process music up to 24-bit and 192KHz. That's great! However, no physical features are part of these CD players anymore. I have no buttons for programming any tracks. True, that the remote control has many if not all the controls I need, but if it breaks or is lost I'm out of luck until/unless I can get a replacement. If I had all functions accessible on the CD Player directly like in the 80's and 90's I wouldn't care if the remote control broke or was lost. Why? Because I can do what I need to do right on the unit.
Anyway, I had the chance to get this player so I went for it. I am very pleased with the sound quality coming out of it. In fact, it is awesome!! It has 4 DAC's (2 per channel) and up-converts 16-bit CD's to 18-bit resolution. It definitely makes a difference compared to my old player which in fact was a newer model than this one, but only was 16-bit with 2 DAC's. If I want a different DAC solution I can use it's Coaxial or Optical Digital Outputs and connect to a modern DAC unit.
In any case, these older pro end Technics CD Players can still compete with today's CD players in regards to sound quality and it has programmable features found directly on the unit that newer CD Players simply lack.
Need a CD Player? Try going old school and get a Top End CD Player from the late 80's or 90's. Great sound and programmable features directly on the unit were the norm. Just make sure it has additional Digital Outputs if you must use a modern DAC. However, it won't really improve your sound quality over the native DAC. I know since I do happen to have an separate DAC unit.
