How to do things you didn't know about--
This little lady lived a hard life! She saw this book as a true need to the country living lifestyle. She made a lot of sacrifice and determination to see this project through. I have the latest published copy of this book, I think 35 years from my earlier version, also before computer internet access. I remember mailing in letters and postcards for catalogs and mailing lists from this big catalog. Carla has since passed away, sad, but her legacy lives on. This is a detailed book, a real undertaking to such a great work. This is truly an enjoyable and fascinating encyclopedia.

Old things become new!
I had these books (originally published as a set of 3 singles) when I raised my family. They are all grown up now and I have a new copy of this book for nostalgia sake. It truly is a great book. It will make you laugh as Amy laughs at herself. It started out as a simple, humble newsletter worked from her kitchen table. This grew and became a healthy business as people wrote in. She hired ladies to answer and receive the questions and answers on these newsletters at her favorite work place, her good old kitchen table. Hats off to Amy Dacyczyn! What a mom, what a Tightwad!
