If it had bigger slots and holes it would be a fine item for all types of fishing equipment
definitely not made for salt water rods. slots and holes way to small for that type of equipment. Should be noted in the description.

Good product
Have more of these (3) and they all work very well after years of service.. next one I( but will be qa water proof one for the boat.
