  Seller advertised old clock as “brand new/unopened.” It had been opened and handled, arrived poorly packed, and didn’t work. He said, “open a return and I’ll take care of it,” which I understood as a refund without burdening me with a return. He said, “I don’t doubt the issues,” admitting he didn’t test it. Days later, after no refund, he sent a return label and insisted on full return. I had already discarded the box. He refused refund. Misleading, poor communication, no accountability. Avoid.

  Found the box, which (it turns out) had been misplaced rather than discarded; returned the item and seller issued refund promptly and without any further issues.
