    Today I received a one hundred and twenty year old, twelve volume reader set, ideal for my purposes; the interiors of the books surpassed expectation. The shipping was a reasonable price for a 20 lb shipment, the customer service was expeditious & business-like, communication was easy like Sunday morning, & my set got here safe & sound, packed up tightly; snug as a bug in a rug! I'd certainly recommend that my fellow acquisitory bibliophiles do as I've done & get some books from Phelp's as well!

    This amazing Antique Print called Evenings In Meadows from D. Appleton was very reasonably priced, and I’m a sucker for pastoral art with cattle, sheep or goats. The order was processed and shipped promptly, and it arrived packaged safely and securely and is exactly as described and pictured. I’m very pleased with the print and highly recommend this seller!     The book was shipped the day after our order processed. It was extremely well packed and was exactly as described. When ordering used books (especially older books such as this one) the buyer always accepts risks that there will be defects unseen by the sellers. In this case there was a very nice note with the book telling us to contact them if we were unhappy with the purchase so they could work with us to resolve any problem. We are very happy with Phelps Old Books on this purchase.

    Great seller, fast shipping, very polite, both of my orders exceeded expectations. His grading was more scrutinizing than any other book seller I’ve dealt with. Careful packaging. The cost was fair but the customer care was excellent. I never write more than “great seller” for reviews so that should speak to how highly I regard this seller.
