  This is a lovely item, and would have been a great deal except that it arrived broken. I could see that it was well packed and thus believe the breakage was likely due to careless handling of the package once it left the seller's control. I recently have received a number of broken items by mail from other retailers--not eBay--and this is a new thing. It's what happens when in the process of delivery stuff gets tossed around.
