  Seller was helpful, agreeing to use bubblewrap + cardboard box for shipping. Didn't answer question about rods possibly being thicker than those in Universal cleaning kits, (thicker rods must be for shotguns), but sent additional photos that were good and cleared things up. Kit seemed to be free of damage from shipping, but one latch doesn't snap closed which is a problem but I didn't have time or want to have to address the issue and possibly do an exchange. It's probably common on these cases.
