No plastic bag of any kind was put around the purse. No protection at all around the purse no it issue paper or anything. Totally unprotected from and rain or and slits in the envelope during shipping. I was very fortunate nothing was damaged however I have never had any eBay dealer ship a purchase so unprotected like that.
