The buyer initially asked ebay to cancel the order, but eBay had already denied the request as it was past the cancellation period. We couldn’t cancel it either at that point. To help, we asked the buyer to open an “Item Not Received” case so we could issue a refund that way. It was us—not eBay—who refunded the order. Ebay was not involved at all except sending the buyer an auto generated message denying their initial cancellation!
