    Seller unwilling to offer partial refund after failing to secure the package for delivery. Arrived damaged, and due to the nature of the one-of-a-kind antique, there’s no opportunity for replacement. Seller only offered to give full refund after requesting I send it back so they can file a claim, which saddles the buyer with shipping costs and time wasted. Maybe this policy works for run-of-the-mill purchases but as with this antique, the intent wasn’t to buy and send it back for fun.

    This piece was packaged for me by a professional art handler who works for a major museum, and insured at my own expense. Buyer left piece at post office for a week, claiming they lost it (post office disputes this), and then said it was damaged. Buyer asked for the ubiquitous “partial refund” without providing photographs. I offered a full and free refund upon return, however buyer wanted to keep the item AND get an additional discount.
