  The part was original and new but came out defective, something that can happen with any part. However, what made the difference was the seller's excellent response. He provided precise instructions for returning the defective part and paid for the refund.   Shipper shipped within a day or 2 of order. USPS took 2 days to get it from California to Indpls. They took an additional 11 days to deliver it to my Indpls home. This is the 2nd order that they have done this with. I wish EBay sellers would offer alternative shipping methods as I would NEVER select USPS.
