My new favorite!
As a portrait and lifestyle photographer, my go to lens is my 85mm because of the beautiful bokeh and the focal length but I do keep a large variety in my camera bag. I also shoot a lot of sports photos for the local high school (my dad is the athletic director) so I had a 70-300mm to get right in the action. Recently, that old lens of mine has been slower and showing it's age and usage so I started shopping around to replace it. I always wanted a wider aperture for those night time football games and this is perfect! I haven't used any of my other lenses since I got it! It's been great for outdoor and studio portraits AND all those action shots! It's fast and works perfectly with the auto focus on my camera. I'm so happy I added this to my collection!

Fast glass
Great lens. My first f/2.8 glass. Really enjoying its wide aperture capabilities and being able to take depth of field shots. It is forcing me to be more critical of shutter speed and focus. Good lens
I love the lens. It performs well in low light. The large aperture (f2.8) allows a lot of light to come through. The lack of image stabilization is a little problematic, especially when you are zoomed in all the way to 200mm. The focus is a little soft, not very crisp. Overall a good workhorse.

I like it!
Most of the reviews I read before I bought this lens were less than stellar. Okay it doesn't have VC and it does make some noise but the image quality is tremendous and it costs about half of Tamron's more publicized model. I like this lens just fine!Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

This lense may out perform some Canon lenses. Easy to operate, Looks good. May not be the go to for a full time professional.

Great quality for a fraction of the price
This baby is a work horse. It takes great pictures, feels durable and looks a lot better than the cream color of the canon brand.
