Compact short range focal for everyday photo.
Best for basic everyday shooting with start with 18mm that goes along to 55mm. Compact and lightweight. This is proper for beginner or minimalist when you travel when you go offside but you will get started with F3.5 at 18mm and end at F5.6 at 55mm on this lens. Fantastic all-rounder
I had a couple of Pentax kit lenses prior to buying my K70. These worked well enough, but I fancied something to do the 24mp of the K70 justice and save the need for carrying 2 lenses. My Sigma 24-70 partly fits the bill, but it doesn't go quite wide enough for landscapes and is just too bulky for carrying around all day. The Pentax 18-135 ticks all these boxed, and is remarkably compact, whilst giving great image quality, all with the bonus of being WR...so getting caught in a shower shouldn't be a major trauma.
