Excellent amateur zoom and a bargain but a bit noisy.
I read several reviews by better photographers than me and they all said it was great for the money so I bought it. They were all right, the image quality is excellent - obviously not as good as a $1000 lens but I don't need that nor will I notice the difference. The only downside to it is what everyone else says, it's noisy on auto. If you are into wildlife pics then this isn't for you, it will scare them away.
