If you own one tube amp, make it this one.
The Mesa Road King II is the definitive tube amplifier. If you can only have one tube amp, this one will give you more quality tones than anything this side of Fractal Audio. Having gigged both over an extended period, I can say that with confidence: if you need more from 1 box, you'll have to go to a modeler the quality of the Axe Fx to get it. The Road King is Mesa/Boogie in every way: built Road-tough (and has the weight to prove it), does all the Mesa tones, and does a great job of covering the classic Fender and Marshall tones to boot. Four completely independent channels, with so much control it is really more like 4 separate amplifiers than just channels. No other tube amp gives all this with great tone on every one. And foot switchable channels, verb, TWO effects loops, tuner mute, and a variable level solo. Awesome. It would take pages to go through it all, so better that you go to their web site and get a copy of the manual. Even on paper, it'll amaze you. This is my "desert island" tube amp.

GET ONE FOR YOURSELF FOR REAL!!!
Mesa Boogie makes great Gear Solid proven American Gear. The amp is very solid very flexible and designed for any and all levels of Showmanship! Just a great amp that covers a lot of ground gives you lots of tones and just flat-out sounds good!!!

road king amp needs road king cabinets
Best of both worlds One side open back The other side closed back My mesa road king amp switches the two back and forth I have a recto 4x 12 But I added 2 of these 2x12 cabs to spread my sound out
