A very good move.
This movie is very good. One that the whole family can watch without worrying about dirty language or nudity. The story line makes for a wholesome movie. Sidney Poitier is great as always.

Warm, Fuzzy Movie
Love this movie; highly recommend it--squeaky clean, engaging characters, and not too slow-moving. Troubled kid from troubled family finds an old burned-out widower who takes an interest in him; they are great medicine for each other and both end up in a better place in their lives by the end of the story. The boy's parents also learn a few valuable lessons along the way.

Good, clean family file!
The movie is a great family film, but, it is the same story-line as "The Woodcarver" with John Ratzenberger which was disappointing. I am not sure which was made 1st be it is almost the same story.

Great movie for the whole family!
