The Tektronix 468 Oscilloscope is a 10/100 MHz analog scope with digital storage options. Its controls can be familiar and easy to operate. They can be particularly simple to pick up if you have experience with the Tek 465B series or another oscilloscope. With a 25 MS/s 8 bit digitizer integrated into the sensitive analog system, this system can help solve many types of problems.The Tektronix 468 Oscilloscope offers users two distinct modes of operation. In its active setting, it serves as a typical analog oscilloscope, measuring oscillations with a DC to 100 MHz bandwidth. When in storage mode, these bandwidths are reduced to 10 MHz. However, they can now be accompanied by cursor measurement of time and voltage. The digital sampling rate for the Tek is 25 MS/s. The bandwidth of this is 10 MHz for the sine wave and 2.5 MHz for the pulse. Temporal base accuracy has been measured to vary less than 0.01%, giving you security and confidence in your results. The digital storage allows a search of data logged and manipulation of results. The recorded measurement values are displayed on an easy to read LED screen with 8 bits of visual resolution. This is a two channel digital oscilloscope in a portable size with a convenient handle for easy transport. Manual shifting between the dual channels is convenient for your use. In digital storage mode, the front cover also serves as a handy storage box for probes. Deflection specs are vertical from 5 mV to 5 V per division, and horizontal deflection from 0.5 s to 20 ns per division. This allows for plenty of reliability in you sweeps. A delayed sweep option can be deployed as well as an x10 magnifier to 2 ns per division. An ordinary 3.5 mm audio jack is provided to permit audio signal output to a speaker or headphones. There is also a bus for manual connection of the digital output to any computerized source. A GPIB connection between this Tek oscilloscope and a computer can be simple and intuitive to establish. Dual probe cables are also included. These probes are designed to be securely attached to electrical posts and take immediate readings. This means that the oscilloscope can be ready to set up and use straight out of the storage box. It runs off an ordinary 110 volt American power supply with a standard plug. This equipment is also capable of running at full capacity on a European standard wall current of 220 volts, so you can take Tektronix scopes with you during travel abroad.The portability and versatility of this vintage oscilloscope can add tremendously to the value of your purchase. Tektronics O'scope
The O'scope was well packaged, alnd in good physical shape upon arrival. I set the scope up, read the manual, and checked out the scope according to manual. The only thing that did not work was the A delayed by B function. Now I am having trouble with the inputs. There seems to be a problem with the A channel voltage scale switch. When connected to the squarewave output, sometimes I get only a straight line, and sometimes a distorted squarewave. The AC/DC switch on the B channel only give AC, so I cannot discern DC levels.
