A great read ffor an enthusiastic photographer.
In this book Ansell Adams explains the story behind 40 of his photographs. Whilst his process was very different to today's digital world the philosophy behind the shots is still valuable today. It well worth taking the time to read his comments and related them to the specific photo one is studying.

This is a rare insight into the mind of the master image maker as he shares the locations, the circumstances and the processes that he went through to capture these iconic landscapes. Ansel narrates his images step by step, and shares honestly his thinking at the time of taking the negatives. He even includes the inevitable glitches that all image makers experience. For anyone who still delves into the world of monochrome film this is a must read. For anyone that wants to further their own craft in landscape creation, it is an inspiration.
