Works just like the original inverter and easy to replace
This inverter is not exactly like the original. The case is a new design but mounts and wires about the same. It came with adapter cables and I did use one for the VDC control cable adapters. It is easily replaced and mounts on the side of the compressor like the original. The original failed due to heat damage. Heat from the compressor can cause premature failure if you don't regularly clean the condenser coil. Refrigerator compressors will operate cooler when the condenser can properly reject the heat. This inverter works properly on my GE Cafe refrigerator. I only rate it 4 stars because it should not be mounted on the side of the compressor.

GE PROFILE DOUBLE DOOR FRIDGE WITH TWO DRAWER BOTTOM FREEZER.
If your refrigerator and freezer stop working it’s most likely this part. It’s a simple replacement. Plug and play. The refrigerator compressor won’t work without it. Apparently this unit overheats and the capacitors fail. This is my second time replacing this in five years. This appears to be their life expectancy but it does beat spending three grand on a similar/new fridge. Hopefully this updated part will last longer and perhaps forever. Only time will tell. It’s two days later and so far so good.

Just what the Doctor ordered
So the temperature was warmer than ideal. I first thought that I needed to add freon until I searched on YouTube. So this part was the one that most people said was the cause of it not cooling. So I said it couldn’t hurt plus a professional would have charged 3x the cost of this. I chose right

Did the job
Perfect, fixed my refrigerator straight away. Needed a few custom mods to the shell given I only spotted that the broken inverter was a replacement (must gone out before) but as I wrote it worked right away. Easy to connect up. Saved me the price of a new fridge freezer.

Did the job and running great as expected.
Excellent replacement choice. Took care of the problem right away, and saved a little fortune of requiring the purchase of a new fridge.

Saved $2000+!
I was able to repair my refrigerator myself instead of paying hundreds for a repairman to come out. Just to show up would have been more money than I spent on this. Thanks for a quality item!
