Dynasty Warriors 6 is an action game set in the Three Kingdoms period of China, where players take on the roles of officers in the armies of each kingdom in a variety of battlefields. This Sony PlayStation 3 video game follows in the tradition of most of its predecessors as the players guide their characters across the battlefield, slaying all who cross their paths. Expansive combos and body counts follow the players as they fight their way through each major character's personal story. Of note to fans, the duel feature returns in Dynasty Warriors 6 with noticeable improvements. Skill ranks are included in this action game and allow players to customise their warriors as their prowess in battle grows. These skills ranks take over control of combos, as opposed to them being tied to weapon choices, as in previous games. This provides players with a wider amount of choice in their weaponry instead of feeling bound to always use particular items. All major characters with a story in this Sony PlayStation 3 video game have signature move sets to set them apart from their opponents. Dynasty Warriors 6 provides fans of the series with the gameplay they know and a number of refinements.
