70 stitches that you can easily make, lots of useful accessories, works great for beginner or advanced.
This sewing machine exceeded my expectations. I am a beginner at sewing so I was alittle intimidated about getting a computerized sewing machine. But then I tried it and Im floored! No matter what stitch I put it on, it worked and it is a really fast sewing machine. The instructions are easy and theres a video included to get you started. There is a picture on the machine of each stitch with a corresponding number. I made my first pair of pants and it only took me about an hour after I cut out the pattern. The only negative I can give is I don't like the cover Singer included with the machine. It was a plastic bag type material, I thought there should've been a better cover with it. Amazing
This is an amazing machine. I liked mine so much, I surprised my twin sister in Florida by sending her one. Getting to understand how to use the self-threader takes patience at first & is a bit difficult, but once you learn how, it's a piece of cake. I actually had to get on the phone with my sister & on speaker phones, walk her through the technique of the self-threader, then she got it. We both enjoy all the stitches & finishing with a professional looking hem is great. I chose this particular machine for the price, the Singer name, & the vast # of decorative stitches. Reasonable for the price
For its price the machine is reasonable. However, it is very plastic and fragile looking. It looks like it could easily break is mishandled in any way. Who knows how long it will actually last? I am guessing there are several years of light work in the machine. It is small and is difficult to view the needle and stitches without bending down and actually looking right at them horizontally. Sewing.
Was a little disappointed that the automatic tie off doesnt work on straight stitch or zig zag. It was the reason i bought it. I make quilts and wanted a machine with tie off on straight stitch.
