Great value, but packaging was not sturdy enough-ended up not so great a value!
The machine is great and works. My only complaint was with the packaging for shipping. The outside carrying case was cracked and a trip piece on the side was broken. The machine is very heavy and even though it was wrapped in bubble wrap, the box was not sturdy enough and so there was some damage. These are mostly cosmetic, but still damage. Also, the bobbin case was missing. I was able to buy a new one at a modest cost, so that was just a minor set back. Also, although the machine stitched at first, after about 5 short rows, it stopped completely. All the lights came on. It turned out that the motherboard was damaged and had to be replaced. $400 later, I have a great working machine, but it ended up being twice as expensive as I thought it would be.

Great sewing machine! Works wonderfully and easy to use!
Pfaff Creative 1471 is the easiest sewing machine I've ever used! This machine works perfectly and functions well.

Great machine. I own one already and it is so easy to use I wanted to be sure to have a backup as parts are not made any more

Nothing beats the 1471 with IDT
Very well made machine, an engineering marvel. This company was way ahead of it's time, and this machine is like driving a sports car....smooth, precise and top notch. Beautiful stitch quality, I love the low bobbin monitor and the constant reverse functions.

Easy to operate with little instruction.
After we purchased a Pfaff foot control, feet and instruction booklet, this machine sews like a dream.
