I was expecting the book to be in a bit ...
I was expecting the book to be in a bit better condition than it is, but it is serving my purpose as novice Spanish speaker.

Spannish for dummies used paperback
I believe that if you need to learn another language, do so with several different types of resource. I go to a once a week spannish class, Listen to CD's, watch Youtube vids, twiddle with Google Translate, listen to kids stories, listen to simple songs, paid up for fluencia online course, use Duolingofree online course and a few other methods The Spannish for Dummies book fits well with my collection. It's "have a go" style and non prententios approach is a delight, its full of handy tips and comes up with little surprises and gems all the time. I use several resources so that I don't get stuck in a groove, and it's great when different media come up with the same answers but its refreshing at times when they say things differently to make you research and challenge any weak habits I've used "... For dummies" on other subjects. I've never read one cover to cover but they do give lots of understandable info in manageable blocks. Versatile book either as a mainstay learning resource or somewhere to try a "down to earth" learning experience.
