Excellent.
Very well written, to the point that my brother who was a very long serving officer in the Royal Navy thought it the best seagoing fiction he had ever read. Universally good reviews of the whole series.

HMS Surprise, is no surprise!
A very good account of the life of officers and seamen and what they went through to protect England, also a good story.

Great on deatals.
A very good read as the details are great, historically speaking, so research was good. I sailed on HMS Surprise, the C in C's coverted Bay Class frigate, in 1963. from Malta.
