A follow-up to Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance casts players in the role of vampire hunter Juste Belmont, a descendent of Castlevania III's Trevor Belmont. Players will once again explore a castle, avoiding spikes, and other hazards along the way, while battling gothic monsters. As part of the Belmont lineage, Juste is outfitted with a whip and can acquire a number of secondary weapons, such as axes, daggers, crosses, and holy water.<br><br>New to the series is the ability (via spell books) to combine secondary weapons, giving players such moves and special items as a lunging ice punch and a large spinning ice cross. In addition, Juste's whip can be powered up by attaching runes. The shoulder buttons can be used to lunge at enemies or retreat quickly as the situation dictates. Each time players defeat a boss, Juste gains a new asset, such as a double jump or the ability to slide low to the ground.<br><br>In response to criticism that Circle of the Moon was darkly lit and at times hard to see, the developers designed Harmony of Dissonance using brighter colors and a lighter overall look for better object recognition. Progress during the adventure, acquired moves, and collected rune stones can all be saved via battery backup.

Sweet Nostalgia
Super happy to have this game back again. I remember having to use an fluorescent light accessory to play this properly on the old Game Boy Advance. The refurbished SP I picked up now shows all the details quite nicely.

Excellent Castlevania title
It’s a bit on the easy side. But this is a solid game. Look out for reproduction game carts, as there are a lot floating around on eBay.

Castlevania? Yes please!
What a great addition to the series. It progresses kind of fast which is cool. There are a ton of bosses in this game which makes progression feel constant.

Awesome!
I’ve been working on having all of the gba and ds titles of the castlevania series. This completed my gba collection and beautifully so. The cartridge looks amazing, works great, and above all; authentic. The packaging was done very nicely. And the original box and manual was definitely a plus

Massively Underrated
The GBA Castlevania titles are wonderful platformers and harder to find than some of their console counterparts for good reason. While I like Aria of Sorrow more because of the style of playable character, this is a close second.

The game will not save any of the progress you made. It saves nothing and makes you start at the beginning. Absolutely horrible.
