Rowan Atkinson as Maigret
The two dvd’s contain four Films, featuring Rowan Atkinson as the famous French detective inspector Maigret. The quality of the dvd’s are exceptional, both sound and image. This Is likely due to the fact that I have an OLED LG tv and a Philips 3D HD DVD player, which automatically upscales to 4K video image. No point in buying bluray dvd’s at extra cost. The performance are good and the use of classic french cars adds to the period scenes, as does the locations. I did find the actors English enunciation of French words an interesting feature as none of the actors adopted a phoney French accent. Which took a little getting used to. But on reflection, I’d class as refreshing. I’ve certainly enjoyed watching the dvds and wish they would have made more Maigret films. Thanks for reading.

A different view with Rowan
I really enjoyed this series ~ pity it was only a total of 2 seasons. Good to see Rowan Atkinson in serious movies.. a very versatile actor. Set in France, so the English accents are a bit strange, but overall I'm pleased with my purchase. I wish there were further episodes in this series.

Maigret.as played by Rowan Atkinson
I like Rowan Atkinson inmost movies I have seen him in. However this is rare as he normally specialises in comedies but in this series he plays the detective Maigret which used to be played by the late great Micheal Gambon. In which Rowan has mastered the detective in my opinion and plays the role with an air of distinction.

Great Series
Rowan Atkinson amazing in this series not seen him in a serious role before. Wish there more of him in this role. A great actor

A must for every dvd collection. Great cast, especially Rowan Atkinson of course and interesting story lines.
Excellent series and compulsive viewing. Rowan Atkinson's delivery is wonderful, as is the whole cast really. I can recommend the video and hope there is another series in the offing. Loved it.

Excellent set
A brilliant portrayal of Maigret as a caring and deep thinking policeman. Rowan Atkinson is magnificent in the title role. Highly recommended.
