Midieval fantasy done well.
Legend Of The Seeker is an action-packed, cohesive Midieval fantasy that plays on many of the typical themes (hero waiting to be discovered, magic sword and other magic devices, wizards, a powerful enemy, and of course, beautiful assistant characters). In addition, the scenery of the show is the best of New Zealand's fabulous parklands -- the big sweeping land shots are awesome. What also sets this series apart are the plot lines of each episode. They're usually well crafted and make sense. They're believable, so you don't get bored very often. Some of the dialog rambles occasionally, but that can be passed with a click of your remote control. A lot of swords and socerery to be seen..
This drama is set in medieval times. The characters have special powers that enable them to triumph over death and disfigurement. I have not seen the earlier DVD, but the jist of the story quest is shown.
